I was commissioned to make a handlettered design for a promotional print featuring this quote from Jodi Meadows' book, Before She Ignites, in anticipation of the publication of the sequel, As She Ascends. After figuring out how I wanted the quote to look on paper, I scanned the final calligraphic design into the computer and cleaned it up in Photoshop. The design was then converted from a raster image to a vector graphic in Illustrator, with other design elements added to background. There are two versions with two different colors. The blue one was for a print to be included in Owlcrate's August 2018 book subscription box and the red one was for the author's mailed promotional postcard.
